Coloniæ
A layout (also called template in the game) is an organization of the buildings of a colony in a certain way. They can serve the purpose of being the most compact and effective for one or multiple resources production, but they can also be made for good looking colonies. There is the posibility of exporting and importing layouts in the game (.mcl files), but it's mainly a premium feature as it is possible only with regions.
Here is a list of all public layouts made by the community. You can edit an existing layout by clicking "Edit" in the layout preview. "Download" will download the .mcl file needed to import the template in the game (Statistics -> Overview -> Import template).
